POSITION DETAILS
- Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
- Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
- Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts
- Operating machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machineries.
- Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications, and installations
- Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines
- Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
- Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machineries.
- Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances
- Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area
- Performing other related duties as assigned
- G8D completion on breakdown exceeding 10min.
- CCMD completion for breakdowns
- Support planned production volumes.
- PM completion to schedule.
- Knowledge of press shop equipment.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES
- Excellent Communication Skills, verbal and written
- PC literacy, MS Office Excel, Word.
- Ability to do fault finding and work on your own.
- Variable speed drives, maintenance, and adjustments
- Electrical/Mechanical drawings.
- Motor testing.
- Basic PLC fault finding ability.
- Knowledge of Electronics, Proficient in soldering
- Lifting equipment – Hydraulic scissor lifts.
- Use of root cause analysis tools, i.e. CCMDs, G8Ds, etc. and implementation of Permanent Corrective Actions.
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
- Qualified Millwright
- N4 Plus Trade Test Certificate (Millwright)
- 2-3 years of Maintenance experience in the Automotive industry.
- Physical ability to lift up to 13.5kg
- Must have Experience in Press shops.
- > 1500-ton presses advantageous
- Drives
- Pneumatic systems and controls.
- Conveyor systems
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
- 2 Years’ experience in the automotive industry.
- 2 Years’ Maintenance experience with min. 1000-ton Mechanical Press lines
- Hydraulic Press Experience
- Pneumatic systems Experience
- Basic PLC experience (Siemens, Allan Bradley, Mitsubishi and Beckhoff)
- Basic Robotic experience (Kuka, Kawasaki, and Robot Beam)
- Basic electrical experience
