Minimum Required Qualification:
  • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or Adult Senior Certificate) or N2 in Engineering studies.
  • Completed formal Learnership programme prior to obtaining a Millwright artisan Trade certificate as recognised by the MQA.
  • At least 2 years working experience as a qualified Millwright.
The Appointee should:
  • Have at least 2 years working experience as a qualified Millwright
  • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
  • Have NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or Adult Senior Certificate) or N2 in Engineering studies.
  • Have completed formal Learnership programme prior to obtaining a Millwright artisan Trade certificate as recognised by the MQA.
Advantageous Qualifications:
  • PLC experience would be advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
  • SHEC: Regularly attend to SHE meetings .Ensure that relevant SHE documents are adhered to at all times and work in a safe environment .Ensure that the prescribed safety equipment is always worn .Identify environmental risks and ensure mitigation
  • Maintenance and repairs: Conduct regular plant inspections .Attend to both electrical and mechanical breakdowns .Assess breakdowns and apply appropriate fault finding techniques .Maintain and/or repair low level and high level mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Business improvement: Participation in improvement projects .Proactively identify risks and threats to the process .Recommend issues that can improve area performance .Ensure that any operational problem that is encountered is reported .Support efforts to overcome operational problems
  • Administration and reporting: .Complete breakdown works order .Create works order notifications .Conduct maintenance administration on the appropriate system .Compile shift/work order reports.
